v1.0

As an added measure of security, we have enhanced the MYPOS Connect portal to support Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Two Factor Authentication is currently an optional feature, however it will become mandatory for all customers in 2024.

Your company may have already made Two Factor Authentication a requirement for access to their data via the MYPOS Connect Portal.

We Recommend all customers enable Two Factor Authentication as an additional security measure as soon as possible

Two Factor Authentication requires the use of a Authenticator App to enter an additional 6 digit code to log into the portal, we recommend Google Authenticator which can be downloaded to your iOS or Android device, however other authenticator apps are available.

Google Authenticator (iOS)

Google Authenticator (Android)

Once you have downloaded and installed an Authenticator app you will need to log into the MYPOS Connect Portal, go to portal.myposconnect.com and log in with your normal portal credentials.

Once you have logged into the portal, select the "Profile" menu option, to do this select your name which should be displayed on a white button in the top right hand corner of the portal and choose the "Profile" option from the drop down menu that will appear.

On the Left hand side of the Profile page you will see a "Two Factor Authentication" option with a "Turn On" button, press the "Turn On" button

Follow the Steps in your authenticator app to add a new account, when you are prompted to "Scan a QR Code" by your Authenticator app scan the code that is displayed on the "My Profile" page of your portal account

Enter the 6 digit code that is displayed in your Authenticator app into the box below the QR Code on the MYPOS Portal, assuming you enter the correct auth code a message will display to confirm Two Factor Authentication is enabled

Two Factor Authentication is now enabled, you do not need to press "Save" , the next time you log into the MYPOS Connect Portal once you have successfully entered your username and password you will be promoted to enter the 6 digit code from your authenticator app, once you enter the correct authenticator code the portal will login as normal.
