Before you can begin taking payments through MYPOS Connect Payments, you’ll need to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) onboarding process. This is a standard regulatory requirement and ensures compliance with financial regulations.
The onboarding is completed via Adyen, our payment service provider for MYPOS Connect Payments. Below are the steps to follow.
Step 1: Start the Onboarding Process
-
Log in to the MYPOS Connect Portal:
https://portal.myposconnect.com
-
Navigate to the Payments section on the menu, then click on it.
-
You’ll see a screen showing that your boarding status has been started.
-
Click on “Continue Onboarding”.
-
This will redirect you to the Adyen KYC portal to complete the verification.
Step 2: Complete the KYC Requirements
You’ll be guided through a series of steps to upload the required details. Below is an outline of what’s needed:
1. Company Details
Upload or enter the following:
-
Registered company name
-
Company number
-
Registered address
2. Decision Makers
You’ll be asked to provide details of individuals who are classified as decision makers.
-
This depends on the type of business (sole trader, limited company, private limited company)
-
For Limited Companies, at least one decision maker must be listed as a director on Companies House
-
You may also need to provide ID or verification documents for these individuals
3. Bank Account Details
You’ll need to connect your business bank account for payout purposes.
-
The quickest and easiest method is to use the instant bank verification option via online banking
-
Alternatively, you can upload a bank statement manually – however, this needs to be checked over and will take longer.
