Promotions are a discount or discounted price that is applied by the MYPOS System whenever a pre determined set of criteria is reached, this article deals with adding the three most common types of promotion "Fixed Price", "Quantity X for Value" and "Product Bundle for Value Amount" other custom promotions can be configured with assistance from the support team [email protected]  

Fixed Price Promotion

This promotion will automatically change the products selling price within the select dates - it will always appear at the promotion price if it is valid & a product has been linked to the promotion

 

Qty X for Value Promotion

Sell a given quantity of a product or products for a given value i.e. 3 for £15 - this will trigger as soon as the promotional quantity is reached from any combination of any products linked to this promotion.

If you have product 1 product 2 product 3, on a qty x for value promotion where x = 2 and value = £5 the promotion would trigger as soon as 2 of the 3 products had been rang in 

 

Product Bundle for Value Amount 

This can be a variety of different products for a value amount. This promotion will only trigger if all the items linked to the promotion are present in the transaction. 

If you have product 1 product 2 product 3, on a bundle promotion where the value = £5 the promotion would not trigger until all 3 products had been rang in 

 

To begin with you will need to go to the MYPOS Portal at https://portal.myposconnect.com and sign in with your email address and password

Once you have logged in you will see several menu options on the left hand side of the Portal, select the "Data Setup" option and choose "Promotions" from the dropdown options that appear below

 

Click "Add new" to add a new promotion to your MYPOS connect system.Enter a Promotion Code and Description, 

 

• Enter a Promotional Code and description, 
• Pick the type of promotion from the drop down menu, 
• Add a promotional value and x/y quantities as needed, 
• The 'Receipt Print' box is the wording that will print on the receipt when this type of promotion is used
• Pick a Start and End Date
• Pick a Start and End Time (note the start and end time apply for each of the dates the promotion is valid , so a start time of 10am and a end time of 2pm will run the promotion from 10am - 2pm every day during the date range the promotion is valid for)
• Pick Valid days of the week
• Pick Valid Stores
• Add a Linked product or Products
   

After the "Add" button is pressed the promotion will be saved and the portal window will reload will a list of all current promotions including the new one you just added

 

 

Re-sync MYPOS  on your devices to pick up your new changes
