Adyen PinPad - Tamper Message
print icon

If you Adyen PinPad is displaying a 'Tamper' Message or says 'Maintenance Required Login' or similar' this means the machine will need to be replaced.

When a terminal says it has been tampered, it indicates that some damage has happened to the hardware or software of the terminal. This damage makes it so that Adyen cannot guarantee secure processing of payments on the terminal due to PCI-DSS regulations, Unfortunately Adyen can not provide any password or route to get around this message, a replacement terminal will need to be ordered from the Adyen Portal by the appropriate person within your business.

A Common Cause of Tamper Messages is Liquid Ingress into the device, when cleaning the device don't spray liquid directly onto the device, instead spray a small amount onto a cloth and wipe from there, it is always best to use a slightly damp cloth with only water used to dampen the cloth.

Once you have received your replacement device from Adyen it will need to be paired with MYPOS before it can be used, before we can do this you will need to follow the below steps on the device
