Barcode Embedded Prices
A Barcode Embedded Price lets you have different prices for the same product and the price can then calculate the quantity for products sold by weight, volume or length.It is not used for products sold by the Each.
1) The product is setup in MYPOS with a short code and a Product Type is B - Barcode Price
2) The Product Code is 4 or 5 digits
3) The product code is the same as the product code on the scale that produces the label. If the product on the scale has leading zeroes then add with leading zeroes on MYPOS
4) The barcode label produced by the scale is either 12 or 13 digits long. If it is not then it is not a Barcode price.
If the barcode is 12 digits long then it starts with a 2
If the barcode is 13 digits long then it starts with either a 2 or a 02
5) The format is one of three :
a) 20xxxxxyyyyyc (13 characters starts with a 2)
b) 02xxxxxyyyyyc (13 characters starts with a 02)
c) 20xxxxyyyyyc (12 characters starts with a 2)
Where;
xxxx or xxxxx is the product code in the products file. Ideally make the codes four digits long on the scales to produce codes that start with an 02 and are 13 characters long..
yyyyy is the price including decimals, this is five digits, max so no greater than £999.99 is possible, when the code starts with an 02 and is 13 characters in length or is 12 characters in length. If it 13 characters and starts with a 2 it is 4 digits in length, the first p is ignored. so max £99.99
c is a checkbit character for the barcode
Using 4306 as an example product code
0243060123459 is a 13 digit code. This would be 02 for embedded barcode, 4306 for product code , £123.45 for price, 9 as check bit
