How to Add a Product Classification
 

Product Classifications are used in both the MYPOS Portal reports and on Device X & Z Reads, they are how you group similar items together for reporting purposes, so for example if you operated a restaurant you might use some of the following classifications; Beer & Cider, Red Wine, White Wine, Rose Wine etc

When adding a new product you can select a Product Classification for that product under the "Z Reporting Classification" Dropdown menu

To begin with you will need to go to the MYPOS Portal at https://portal.myposconnect.com and sign in with your email address and password

Once you have logged in you will see several menu options on the left hand side of the Portal, select the "Data Setup" option and choose "Classifications" from the dropdown options that appear below

 

Select the  "Add New" button from the purple buttons along the top of the "Classifications" Page
 

Enter the name of your new Classification and press the "add" button at the bottom of the page, this will be the wording used for this classification in reports and X & Z reads

 

After the "Add" button is pressed the classification will be saved and the portal window will reload will a list of all current classifications including the new one you just added, this classification can then be assigned to a product in the Products section of the portal.
